In our little farm, we have been keeping blue peafowl (Pavo cristatus L.) since 1998, when we first started with only one pair from the "Standard" species. In the long run, the number of peafowl has increased, by means of exchange, of purchasing new peafowl and of raising the newly-obtained peachicks; at present we are raising and breeding four species of peafowl: Standard, Black Shoulders, White, Arlequin.

Our peafowl farm is small, the number of birds comprises only fours families of mature peafowl, one from each of the above-mentioned species, the families being made up from one male and three or four females. In addition to them, we keep a variable number of young peafowl that will develop to be the future families.

The peafowl are kept in aviaries, with adjacent paddocks, each family having its own aviary.

Our farm is situated in Adâncata village, 13 km away from Suceava, on the national road no. 29 A Suceava - Dorohoi.
